DESCRIPTION OF MINISTRY

Chuck comes to minister basically for expenses and a love offering. Expenses include travel expenses, food and lodging. If the booking is close enough to home, (the Los Angeles area), Chuck will drive, otherwise, flight arrangements would be made.

We try to build a weekend or longer around your invitation. Through your contacts or ours, we try to put together an itinerary, built around and preferring the dates that you desire. By adding to the schedule in this way, the expenses can be shared by other churches, which helps everyone. There are many ways a schedule can be built, and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.

Chuck does a number of different types of services, depending on the request. The basic request is for a concert, which consists typically of about an hour of Chuck's past songs, followed by a more worship oriented set. This part of the evening consists of a number of Chuck's mellower songs, and includes some audience participation in some familiar worship songs. This kind of evening usually ends with a response of some kind from the people, with a time of corporate prayer for whatever the needs may be. In this kind of setting, response and prayer time are kept to a minimum.

Sunday services differ slightly. Sunday Morning service might start with a couple of Chuck's familiar songs (depending on the length of the service), followed by a short message, usually on some aspect of worship. This type of morning service would end with a time of worship similar to the second half of the scenario described above.

Sunday evening service would be a hybrid of the two types previously described, with a little more accent on the concert setting, but including a time of worship.

Sometimes Chuck is booked for both morning and evening services, a combination that works well. The interest is piqued in the morning service, whetting the appetite for some more worship in the evening service, along with the expectation of some of the favorites from Chuck's albums.

Chuck also speaks and does seminars on the subjects of worship, spiritual warfare and evangelism. These are often scheduled in the Saturday daytime slots.
