'Heart Of America' is the first work with a patriotic theme for
veteran CCM Music Pioneer & Producer Chuck Girard.

“I was distressed at the outcome of the 2012 election. It occurred to me that we are losing the heart of the America and many values for which America has always stood. ‘Let the eagle fly again’ was the clincher line, and the rest of the song came about. I changed quite a bit of the lyric from being a proclamation to a prayer for the nation”, says Girard regarding the writing of the song.
Musicians and arrangers rallied, giving of their time and talent from all over the country to add strings, trumpets, choral and other voices. Many thanks to Bill Schnee who mixed the final song in his studio in North Hollywood, CA.
This song is a labor of love for God and country. Girard hopes it will stimulate Christians everywhere to realize that we “wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers..." and our only real hope for the nation is by the power and grace of God."
