THE FAITH  
It's of God say some youth pastors, but others disagree.

Rock has its impact on North American culture with Elvis Presley.  His pelvic gyrations left little doubt in the popular mind that rock music was about sex.  Shenanigans of such later groups as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones added the notion that rock was about drugs.  Groups named Coven, Black Sabbath, and The Damnation Of Adam Blessing an outright satanic influence.

Rock N' Roll records were therefore being burned in the Bible Belt. and their influenced denounced from pulpits everywhere...  READ THE ARTICLE.

Article on the "Love Song Festival."
    Many have been saying that there has never been any musical event in the Philippines quite like the Love Song festival held at the Rizal baseball Stadium last February 14-18.

    This could take on many interpretations. It could mean the stage, which was a work of art. it could mean the music - "groovy," contemporary and abundant. It could mean the Love Song members themselves with all their long hair, bushy beard and rugged dungarees. it could mean the event itself, which could be considered the biggest musical event ever to take place in Manila in years. 

    But most likely it means the unique message emphasized and re-emphasized during the whole Festival; that man's only lasting hope is in Jesus Christ. In any case, the event will go on record as one of the most dramatic episodes in Philippine Christianity. For through it all the church was "right where it's at."

    According to Jun Balayo, over-all coordinator for the project, about 70-80 thousand, mostly college-age youth, heard the Gospel message presented by the Love Song and other participants. Of this number 1,600 returned their signed follow-up cards the first week, asking for home Bible study lessons and personal visits. But the figures are incidental - they were expected. What matters more was that the message came through in terms the listeners could "dig."  (Click article to read more.)
