WORSHIPFUL AND ENTERTAINING by hartfree (Five Stars)
"Anyone familiar with "Love Song" knows Chuck Girard. This album was one of the first I ever bought as a new Christian. On a weekend retreat as a new believer I was exposed to "Lay Your Burden Down" and "Sometimes Alleluia". The styles on this album range from the rocky "Rock n' Roll Preacher" to the fifties sounding "Tinagera." No matter what the style, potential buyers will find something to like in this self-titled album from Girard. I am glad iTunes has brought one of the seminal albums from the early CCM era for new listeners to experience. Granted the style of the album is definately '80s, but, so-what! The message is the important item here and Girard is sure to find new fans when they purchase this piece of CCM history. By-the-way, for the uninformed, CCM stands for Contemporary Christian Music. Buy the album and experience the WORSHIP and ENTERTAINMENT Chuck Girard provides!"

"I have had this CD for years and it still sounds fresh today. Back in 1975 contemporary Christian music was not as we know it today. This was one of the first to pioneer the genre. The last three tracks on this CD are so great. Lay your burdens down is so peacful. Sometimes Alleluia was the big single from it. There would not be contemporary Christain music today if it weren't for folks like Girard and Keith Green. I have several other albums by Girard and wish they to would be released on CD as well. If you want peaceful, soul stirring music, then this is your choice. Not all songs are slow moving . Rock& roll Preacher kicks this one off well but ends with Sometimes Alleluia to bring you back to earth. May God bless you."
